I Saw the Sign

The promised sign post (ha! get it?). You've already seen "Sandwich Historic District," NO BIKES ON FENCE, NO UNNECESSARY NOISE, "Dangerous Lake Michigan," and the Virtues of Chocolate.

We'll pick up in Clifton, VA:

They like to encourage self-sufficiency in Bahstun, MA:

Where's the 'T' station?? Open ya eyes and look!

Telling New Yorkers what to do is a losing battle. Grand Central Station, NY:

Strictly forbidden, eh?

Not exactly a sign, but we'll count it - I like this person's long-view positive outlook. Graffiti in Cold Spring, NY:

Car got towed on Christmas Eve. (Thanks, Brooklyn!) The thin, thin sliver of a silver lining was this sign:

Redemption, thataway.

New York, NY. Too bad for the pigeons and squirrels...

Sorry, critters.

This next one ought to have an asterisk, because The Princess Bride is the exception to this rule, and they did a pretty good job with the movie version of High Fidelity, too. As a general rule, though, I have to agree. Barnes & Noble, Cambridge, MA:

Maybe a braver person would have tried the "stranger wine" in Paris, France:

Finally, my all-time favorite, SOFT SHOULDER:

This isn't a great picture - I had others, but they were either a) on the old computer, may it rest in peace, or b) taken on film. It just seems like such an odd thing to see on an industrial black-and-yellow sign. There are at least six of these out near Provincetown, MA.

By the way, if you have Ace of Base stuck in your head right now, please accept my sincere apologies.
